Lunch at a cute Chilean style restaurant in the Sierra Foothills. Neighboring table asks server about the source of “sustainable tilapia” on menu. She wanted to know if the tilapia could be from a farm that uses water to fertilize veggies. It wasn’t, but #aquaponics shout out!

@JonKimble2 Right. And, tomorrow is first in-person workshop in Salinas. Not that I haven’t traveled like a maniac for field work research, but firsts interacting professionally w students and colleagues outside Virtual since 2/2020.
First time on main campus since the pandemic. Invited to participate in Career Discovery Groups “Pitchin’ to the Pros.” Career speed dating where small groups of undergrad students rotate every 10-15 min to find out about professionals experiences and career pathway.
