@ISBergen I am super interested in the ways you are coming up with to integrate VR in the classroom. This is an exciting time for teachers and one the students will surely adapt quickly to.
@Anthony_Wade_@MergeVR I love this so much! You can just see that the kids are invested and interested. The planets are literally within their grasp with the use of VR.
#EDU214 I am new to this new Virtual Reality world, but my kids aren't and they love it! I know they would love it if they could use it in the classroom, even if it was educational. And in my opinion, if it grabs the students attention and keeps it, I am all for it.
@Meilyn20_ That would be the responsible thing to do. My daughter's dad was awaiting test results and let her come into his house and let his daughter in my house and now is positive for Covid. I'm livid and they don't get it.
#eng211fa20 Covid related, not class related: If you were awaiting test results for Covid because you were exposed by a coworker who tested positive, would you let your kid go to someone else's house or other kids into your home before you got test results? #I'mmad#ourlifeonhold
#eng211fa20 The topic for this week, how languages evolve, was very similar to the myth in which we discussed whether language changes. We now know that language does in fact change and that there are internal and external factors that cause it to change.
#eng211fa20 I found it very interesting that some dialects of Chinese cannot understand each other, but some entire languages are so close that they can understand each other. For instance, Spanish and Portuguese speakers can often understand each other.
