@SENDMattersUK As far as I understand, any services you need won’t actually accept a private diagnosis and insist it comes from the NHS. So people are stuck with these horrendous waiting lists. It’s also not just waiting for the diagnosis. It’s all the services & support afterwards too!

@CathyWassell @IPSEAcharity @sos_sen Gosh, that’s a long time! We’ve been told it will likely finalise in June but also told that’s pretty optimistic. I’ll check those resources out! We are lucky we have a very supportive nursery.

@charleigh_gee @AnnaKennedy1 The waiting list for everything seems to be 1 year minimum. But then you need to fight for a year or two before you can even get on it! You seem to just bounce from waiting list to waiting list without anybody actually ever doing anything! Early intervention my bottom!

@Autism We were lucky that my toddler was diagnosed early but we did have to wait 1.5yrs for an appointment. Diagnosed last March and not a single professional has seen her since. Access to any support seems to all have a minimum of 1yr waiting list & kids are left to struggle on
