Our wonderful Arun is going to be 12 soon. We are worried he will never find a home.

We know he needs one of those extra special homes, a pet and child free home that is patient and gentle, but he really needs and deserves this.

Please retweet, below, this abandoned dog is due to be killed in a British Council pound Wed 24 June. The council will not allow the public to adopt. Please share so that a rescue shelter with space sees this #UK 💔💔

The fact that most British council dog pounds give dogs no exposure and euthanise them after 7 days, when no shelters spaces are available, is a national disgrace and scandal #UK
Most council pounds do not show the dogs they have in their care on social media, often no one knows they exist or that they have been pts.

If a dog was stolen in London and then dumped in Scotland the owner only has 7 days to search every pound in the UK to find him, he can then be 'euthanised'.

Councils say they do not have the space or resources to feed and house dogs or to assess them for re homing. It's a national scandal we are not seeing in the news.

The public needs to know why buying a puppy or breeding from existing pets is a very bad idea. Unscrupulous breeding should be stopped now‼️‼️

⭐️There are already more pets than homes⭐️
