@mirgray@missmulrooney I first heard it from my nieces and nephews in the early 2000s as it was something they picked up in school! It seems to have fallen out of favour as my kids don't do that. I'm in Canada.
@missmulrooney I would like to proudly say I picked up the pace at the last birthday by singing quicker and louder, and did some encouraging head nodding and hand gestures to the rest of the group π they followed along!
@missmulrooney You have given me new purpose! I shall teach this to my children (discouraging the cha-cha-chas). At my dad's we also have to wait for his classical guitar solo to end.
@BFSEsq@missmulrooney Haha my dad always has his classical guitar in reach... But he's not always paying attention so he usually misses the first part of the bday song, catches up and includes his little solo flourish at the end. Sometimes there is another bday encore in a Spanish flamenco style π
@bdclarke@amandawtwong This is spot on! I am from southern Ontario and used to see him on Much Music all the time. I also now say "napkin" though pretty sure I grew up saying serviette.
@melisserzs I have heard the cineplex kids combo includes a barbie cup (not this cute) so guess what I'm buying for us... (plus an adult combo as we will be done the kids popcorn as we walk to our seats).
@alex_abads I don't recall the plot to the movie at all but will always remember the title as our local video rental place had surprise MLB tickets in the case. BF said the staff probably didn't expect anyone to rent it and were hoping to keep it for themselves lol
@zachsilberberg Toddler was thrilled when they started construction along our daily walking route. This wonderful worker noticed out visits so began honking hello and raising the bucket when we stopped by. One day he gifted my kid with rocks!
I got the kids an Amazon Fire tablet a couple of years ago and it is the worst piece of technology in the world. And this is coming from Samsung appliance owners! About to go Office Space on this damn thing π€¬
@JessicaRaeO45@HallieAviva@lbee329@clhubes@katratta I loved them and even read a couple in my teens because a new high school friend had her whole collection still and I saw some I hadn't read π
Also, recently read on Twitter the original covers were oil paintings and the artist recently put them up for sale!
@MarikoAnnu @MeanestTA Haha we use to tease anyone dressed up nicer than usual at the office that they must have just come back from their interview lol
@amandawtwong Tucked in the dusty corners of my brain lies... "Ghandi has ADD! Ghandi has ADD! You get it from toilet seats! So use the protective sheets!"

@xSuperAshx @WendiAarons My bf at the time lived on a floor with firefighter students who disabled them as soon as they learned how they worked hahah they got fixed pretty quick though
