@ryangrim Love to see legislation that is about a single country rather than human values. Very brilliant. A confusingly titled Bill, though, or someone who is an unabashed terrorist sympathizer
@RepRashida Trump says he doesn't have to go to congress for war powers even though 60 days have passed since this illegal war in Iran because of the ceasefire yet he's threatening to drop a nuclear bomb on Iran mid-ceasefire. Maybe Congress should have a say!
@neiltyson please check out Larkspur Conservation in TN. They are an amazing spot for those who want to "transform" in death. This story features my father in law, who was recently buried there, himself. https://t.co/bbZ6MaN8H3
@krystalball following your reporting on anthropic. So ...we float our whole economy on this technology, prohibit any regulation, and tee it up for others to infiltrate!? This isn't an arms race with other countries, this is refusing to test the products in our own back yard
@DropSiteNews I have a research question for you: who is funding AIPAC? And what are the odds that none of it is coming from the "aid "funds that we sent to Israel? Can we track this at all?
@ryangrim following up with your analysis of mothership: I'm very interested in knowing if these groups violate consumer protections. I unsubscribe from text messages, then get more from another number/same campaign. That has to be against some rules, doesn't it?
@BowenBBC I was surprised to hear a dangerous lack of accuracy and care with language in one of your recent pieces aired on @NPR. comparing Tel Aviv to the West Bank you said "it almost doesn't feel like the same country." Right. It's not. This is very dangerous, please do better
@esaagar one more thing on property taxes: as home prices rise with inflation property taxes go up in kind. State & local governments should- but don't- reduce millage rates. their budgets don't actually require that much property tax $, but of course they find a way to spend it
@esaagar there's also an interesting story around former homeowners trying to receive their equity if their home was foreclosed and sold for more than the debt . it's as complex and bureaucratic process as you'd think. there's a powerful team at @outliermedia working to help
@esaagar I'd love to talk property taxes with you! I worked on tax foreclosure prevention in Detroit for over a decade, is it a crazy problem here because we have a very high mileage rate and lots of low income homeowners.
@exlarson I just finished "In the Garden of Beasts"," a great and important read. One question lingers: do you know what because of the family who rented their home to the Dodd's?
@emilyjashinsky re your concern about lack of homeownership. I ran a program in Detroit that helped renters buy their homes and it's amazing how it impacted people. same person, same house, different equity made a huge change in how people felt about and cared for their home
@krystalball you mention the prison in El Salvador as a slave labor camp, is there anyway in which these deportations violate the 13th amendment? Or is it a loophole that they are not on US soil?
@ryangrim Israel is to international affairs what Trump is to Us- a relentless force who demands acquiescence, regardless of how outrageously they persist beyond the bounds of law or norms or human decency. Israel is outplaying Trump at his own game and the sycophant slide is starting
