Now in a council pound that won't allow the public to adopt . Thursday 23 July 2026.
'Ragnor is a young adult Central Asian Shepherd who came in Authority care for welfare reasons.
We need an experienced and suitable rescue space for this boy. He is a specific breed that needs experience and understanding.
He is a great lad and is happy to meet people and has dog tested very well. I have videos for interested rescues with him on off lead dog tests. He has a lot of positives BUT he is food possessive in his kennel and this needs to be further assessed.
He is a friendly, happy young chap but will will need considered management around this issue.
Are there any suitable rescues that may have a space for him. We have got a time limit to find the right space'

A young pocket bully named Scrappy suffered catastrophic injuries and extreme neglect at the hands of his owner, Daisy Lawson, previously of #gainsborough, |Lincolnshire, and now living in #rayne, near Braintree, Essex.

Scrappy was found emaciated, infected, and in agony after sustaining horrific facial and neck injuries that were never treated. By the time vets finally saw him, his wounds were described as “rotten” and “smelly”, and he was so underweight that he had clearly been starved over a prolonged period.

Despite his obvious suffering, Scrappy didn’t get the urgent vet care he desperately needed — and he was ultimately put to sleep on welfare grounds.

Lawson had been promoting herself online as a dog rescuer under the name Kingston Bullies, but behind the scenes, Scrappy endured untreated injuries, hunger, and prolonged pain.

In court, Lawson admitted causing unnecessary suffering to Scrappy.

Her mitigation was that she had experienced "a very difficult childhood" and was dealing with "significant mental health issue".

The RSPCA, who investigated the case, said Scrappy’s suffering was “deeply upsetting” and urged anyone struggling to care for their pets to seek help before situations escalate.

Sentencing | three‑year community order, including 15 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days, 200 hours of unpaid work, and a 10‑year ban on keeping dogs.

So I’m calling that Andy Burnham will try his best to get the country on side by any means possible. Hoping that we’ll say ‘he has made a few changes and things seem to be heading in the right direction, give him a bit of time’ (all smoke and mirrors of course).
And just before the budget comes out late Oct/Nov he’ll call a general election as this would be @UKLabour ‘s only tactical chance of staying in power.
They know they will mess things up big time from now until the next GE and once they release their budget they know this will be their demise! ☠️

The current owners, due to unforeseen circumstances have had to make the very hard and difficult decision to rehome Waffle.

Waffle is a beautiful Cockapoo x Cavapoo, 5 years old in October, is looking for a new loving, forever home with no children or any other animals.

Waffles owners describe her as "A massive love bug" who loves cuddles and being spoilt, she needs a quiet home to enjoy being the centre of someone's life.

She is very playful and loves her toys.

Waffle loves a treat however dog treats upset her stomach, Waffles favourite treats are Peaches, however she likes most fruit & vegetables as treats. She eats a mix of wet & dry food.

Because of the breed Waffle requires regular grooming 6-8 weeks, she is good at the groomers, can be funny when she gets her nails done.

Waffle is weary of men and can bark excessively when first introduced, but does settle after a short time.

Visitors to the house Waffle, will jump up at them, she will settle within ten minutes. The owners use the command "OFF" & click their fingers which usually works.

She is good on the lead but will pull. She does get distracted easily by dogs, birds etc so they tend to keep her on a lead if a lot of activity is around her.

Waffle is okay with other dogs, not keen on smaller breeds of dogs or cats.

She is fully house trained, likes her crate to go for quiet time. She can be left on her own for a few hours; always make sure the bin is out of her way. She will bark at people passing by.

Can we have some shares for Ghillie, he’s not had any interest.

He is a beautiful 6 year 5 month old male Border Collie.
He is available and is seeking a nice country home he can explore and set up life.
Ghillie is micro-chipped and neutered. He is also healthy with no medical issues.
He is looking for a new home ideally with someone who has experience of the breed and no young kids, older children are fine.
He has been around children before but hasn't lived with them.
Ghillie does not like passing cars and will try to jump at them, so he would be best placed somewhere away from any main roads.
He is a character and has his own routines.
At night he will take himself away to bed and will sleep all night, usually getting up in the morning around 8am for his breakfast.
He likes other dogs and gets on well with them. A home with no cats is best.
Ghillie will travel in the car but doesn't like anyone reaching into the boot as he thinks this is his space, so does need gentle encouragement to get out.
Ghillie would absolutely thrive with someone who is active, he loves to run and spend time outdoors.
He walks best with a harness rather than a lead.
Ghillie eats Wainwrights Scottish Salmon dry food, twice a day. He likes the occasional human food too, such as a small amount of cheese.
Ghillie can be left on his own for up to 6 hours.
He loves treats and normally gets these when doing any training as a reward.
Ghillie is registered with the vets and likes his own space.
He will bark when someone comes into the home, he is friendly and likes to meet people but can get over excited.
He will bark from the boot of the car and will also bark if someone sneezes, he also doesn't like the sound of a coffee maker or big yawns.
Ghillie did live with two cats before and they where the boss of the home before they passed away. He is a very loving and loyal dog and will make a great pet for a family or someone who can give him lots of attention.

Please meet Ragnor, Echo and Rose—three beautiful dogs whose lives now hang in the balance through absolutely no fault of their own.
These wonderful dogs are currently in the care of the local authorities and, heartbreakingly, they have been booked for euthanasia this Friday unless a rescue space can be found in time.
This week has been relentless. We have been inundated with desperate calls about dogs who have nowhere left to turn. 💔
Ragnor and Rose are around 5 years old, while Echo is just 2 years old. All three have been described as loving, friendly and affectionate dogs who are good with other dogs. They have done nothing wrong. They simply deserve the chance to experience the love, safety and security of a family who will never let them down.
The clock is ticking, and we are doing everything we possibly can to bring them to safety before it's too late.
We are urgently appealing for foster homes and forever homes for the dogs already in our care who have completed their assessments and veterinary treatment. Every dog that leaves for a loving home creates a lifesaving space for another dog like Ragnor, Echo or Rose.
We will not let Friday become the end of their story.

You may remember Bruce came to us a few weeks ago with a large mass on his back after being abandoned in the north of England and ending up in a council pound.
He’s now had the mass removed and after testing it’s come back as a grade 2 Mast Cell tumour. We are treating him holistically and it’s healing well our vet feels that good margins were got all round and we’re hopeful that with ongoing holistic care, good diet and lots of support he will continue to thrive for several years to come!!
