In doing so, she brought down a prince, and paved the way for us to come forward and fight. Virginia was failed over and over by the systems that consistently believed and supported her abusers over her. Today, we urge you not to fail another survivor and deny them justice any longer.

BREAKING: Trump EXPANDS his anti-immigrant crackdown to two new cities — with armored vehicles, special ops agents, and “roving” raids.

Donald Trump is taking his mass-deportation crusade to a terrifying new level — and this time, he’s sending armored vehicles and special operations Border Patrol teams into Charlotte and New Orleans.

Yes, you read that right. Not the border. Not high-risk crime corridors. American cities.

According to internal DHS documents obtained by CBS News, the Trump administration is preparing to flood Charlotte and New Orleans with scores of Border Patrol agents — the same green-uniformed units whose aggressive tactics in Chicago and Los Angeles have already drawn national outrage, local protests, and even court-ordered limits on their use of force.

And now they’re coming with “BearCat” armored vehicles, militarized gear, and special ops teams.

Officials have even given the crackdown cutesy internal code names like “Charlotte Web” and “Catahoula Crunch,” as if dispatching armored units into U.S. communities were some kind of children’s book adventure — not a massive, federally orchestrated sweep targeting Latino neighborhoods, workers, and families.

Local law enforcement wasn’t consulted — they were warned.

Mecklenburg County Sheriff Garry McFadden says he was contacted by two federal officials telling him Border Patrol agents will arrive as early as this weekend. Plans are already underway to stand up a full operations center in Charlotte. After that, Trump’s focus shifts to New Orleans, where up to 200 agents could be deployed.

Let’s be clear: This is NOT routine immigration enforcement.
ICE — the agency legally tasked with interior immigration operations — already conducts targeted arrests based on surveillance, intelligence, and criminal history.

Border Patrol, under Trump, has been doing something entirely different:
“Roving” sweeps of Home Depot parking lots, work sites, and neighborhoods — wide-net raids that snag anyone who “looks” like an immigrant. These operations have triggered tense confrontations, community protests, and civil rights concerns in every city where they’ve appeared.

Now, Trump is scaling it up with armored trucks in cities hundreds of miles from the border, even though illegal crossings just hit a 55-year low.

This isn’t about border security.
It’s about fear.
It’s about spectacle.
It’s about using militarized federal agents as political theater — and turning American cities into staging grounds for Trump’s deportation-first agenda.

While DHS refuses to comment on these operations, one thing is unmistakable:
The hallmarks of Trump’s second term are armored vehicles rolling down Main Street, federal agents conducting dragnet raids at job sites, and families terrified to leave their homes.

America deserves better than this. And communities from Chicago to Los Angeles — and now Charlotte to New Orleans — are standing up to say so.
