The World Cup begins tomorrow, and many will watch the matches. Soccer reminds us of something we must not forget: life is not a race to show off on our own, but a path we learn to walk together. Anyone who does not know how to pass the ball, even if they have talent, has not yet understood the game. Anyone who does not know how to live with and for others has not yet understood life. #ApostolicJourney
"Some people live their life... they worry about the destination. They worry about where they're going. I enjoy the trip. Wherever you're going is where you'll end up. Don't worry about that. Enjoy the scenery on the way."
Today at @the_IDB I heard Professor @NoraLustig give a master class on inequality in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a special focus on the role of education. Here are a few takeaways. 🧵
Amazing two days discussing all things jobs/industrial policy with some of the most influential economists in the world. Probably the highlight of my grad school experience (captured on screen!). Thanks to all the speakers and everyone involved.
Our industrial policy conference lunchtime session featured @DAcemogluMIT in conversation with @rodrikdani on the role governments have to play in redirecting technological change where markets don’t take the right direction - such as TikTok.
My 1st piece of research zoomed on the graduation from fiscal procyclicality pattern @JFrankelEcon uncovered. I would have never imagined I would one day have the privilege to meet the amazing person behind the paper. This is the perfect course on advanced macro for policymakers
@JFrankelEcon@Harvard@Kennedy_School@fedesturze Coming back to the lectures for the final exam, I came to realize again just how amazing this course has been. Thank you Prof. Frankel! And also thank you @fedesturze for the best lecture I've had in my life!

After a thrilling cliffhanger, I'll be joining the Master in Public Administration in International Development at @Harvard@Kennedy_School this year! I'll be the 2nd Bolivian in the program’s history, and the 1st to get in with an undergrad degree from a Bolivian university 🇧🇴🧵
