@FevsFootball I like him a lot. Great defender with a lot of controlled aggression. I can understand the criticism of him passing backwards but I think he’s following instruction and/or looking up and there’s no decisive forward pass available.
@BristolCity@RossMcCrorie4 Phenomenal strength of character and skill @RossMcCrorie4 What a full debut to make. Loved your positive, attacking football, can’t wait to see more. COYR!
@MattMehdiDaley Both great players for the club. I think their journeys were kind of similar - Kalas was a perpetual loanee for his club before finding a regular spot at City.
Good refereeing should not be noticed… and good referees should not want to stand out. They should be facilitators of the game, not stars of it. In return, players and fans need to respect the on-field referee and accept that sometimes they get it wrong. VAR is not helping the game.
So again, we’re told we have a great squad with a set style of play and we want to be playing at the top end of the Championship. Last week, we were playing at the top end. Then we had two games - against second place, and a local derby - where an injury hit squad gave everything for the badge and could feasibly have gained points from both. This week we’re playing the bottom two teams and will likely be back at the top end. Weak statements from a weak hierarchy.
@BristolCity He’s right. We do have a great squad and we do have a clear way of playing… that’s what Nigel was doing these past two and a half years. He was building all that, despite the lack of support he received! That’s why everyone is angry. We could all see it.
Thank you for saving my club. In the years before you arrived, my three and a half decades of passionate support had been drifting towards not caring. With hindsight, this was a reflection of many people who represented the management and squad at the time. You came in and changed all that - on and off the pitch. You are, and forever will be, a City legend.
