Griffin Lockwood-Powell had an RBI double to get the Dodgers on the board. GLP is having a very good Spring, hitting .267.

Powell led Lincoln High to their first ever State Championship as a Sophomore, then made the semifinals the next year.

Got noticed by Central Michigan while attending a camp at Notre Dame, chose to become a Chip, and had a great career at Mount Pleasant. He is the all-time RBI leader in the school's history, and, as a Sophomore, was the MAC Tournament MVP and led CMU to their first Conference title since 1995.

Hurt his thumb his Senior year, came back late in the season, and didn't get drafted.

The Dodgers signed him as an Undrafted Free Agent and have done with him as they have done for so many. They've developed a plan that has maximized his versatility and overall ability, and because of that, he's on the doorstep of becoming a Major Leaguer.

Baseball is Awesome! #dodgers

Classic GLP!
For one, Griffin Lockwood-Powell is the All-Time RBIs leader in Central Michigan history #FireUPChips, so no surprise he knocked in a run. And, he centers his timing around thinking right center, so it's even less surprising he hit this double.

Even at the professional level, pitchers like to stay away from big dudes like him, especially with 2 strikes, so being so good at using the opposite field is very valuable. Especially when you can do it while not losing power. #dodgers

Griffin Lockwood Powell....Let's Go!
GLP, Lock, Griff, whatever you want to call him, he was another one we covered on our last Down on the Farm on Dodgers Dawgs. He's a really good ball player who grew up in South Dakota, went to Central Michigan, went undrafted, and has worked his ass off to get a Non-Roster invite to Spring Training.

Lock is a big dude, but centers his hitting approach with the opposite field gap to "stay on" the ball, which is an approach that allows him to hit "gap to gap".

Griffin catches, plays 1st base, can play the outfield, drive the bus, mow the infield, could definitely manage, or anything other thing a club might need him to do.

Easy one to root for, that's for sure! #dodgers

Volvo posted a 3 min and 46 second ad on Instagram, shot by Hoyte Van Hoytema, the cinematographer of Interstellar and Oppenheimer.

It goes against every single rule you can think about as a social lead. Length. Format. Over-produced.

Every comment under the ad said it immediately put Volvo in their consideration set. It's fucking fantastic.

Pete Rose was a credit to Cincinnati, to the state of Ohio, and to everyone who loves America’s pastime. My prayers are with his family at this difficult time. His passing is a reminder that legends live forever and that he belongs in the Hall of Fame.

Griffin Lockwood Powell went yard TWICE last night for AA Tulsa. Lock was catching, so has really nice defensive versatility and an offensive game that does a bit of everything as well. Back to back 2 hit games, 3rd in his last 4 & he's 6 for his last 14. #dodgers
