They convinced an entire generation that living with family is failure.
Family compounds used to be normal.
Until the psyop began.
We were told:
• Move out at 18
• Be independent
• Get your own place
• Do everything alone
Result:
• 10 rents
• 10 mortgages
• 10 car payments
• 10x more debt
Strong families used to stay together—build together, support each other, and live interdependently.
The opposite of the "be independent" narrative.
Let's normalize family compounds again.
This might be the most honest thing I’ve read in months.
The idea that your next 5 years will look exactly like your last 5…
is something I’ve been thinking about for a while, but this piece puts it into words I couldn’t fully articulate.
A MUST READ for anyone serious about change.
It challenges the illusion of “eventual progress.”
Now I’m genuinely curious:
Is your future being created… or just replayed?
Pure propaganda. If I carried water for the ruling party like this when I was Online Editor for the Daily49er, I would have been fired.
It isn't a rebuilt home, it is a totally different 3x larger development permitted a month before the fire. The fire saved demolition time.
The 16-18' wide rowhouse is the perfect "starter home”
My company is building this 3-story rowhouse typology is bc it’s beautiful and functional as both detached AND attached … so it works in both urban & suburban neighrbhoods
1200-1600sf, 3-4BR units
@regothetrader Take a break from the grind, especially if you’re sitting all the time. Do a month rucking a heavy backpack with a company like NOLS. Sounds counterintuitive, but you probably want to just get outside and move. It worked for me.
