During a ministerial meeting on transnational terrorism, Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the Cuban regime's intelligence and ideological network has, for decades, maintained ties to far-left movements in the United States and across the Western Hemisphere.

Rubio also warned that extremist organizations now operate through international networks:

"Today's far-left terrorists can raise funds in one country, host their communications in a second, receive training in a third, recruit militants in a fourth, and attack a target in a fifth."

The Secretary of State concluded that this threat requires a coordinated response from democratic nations:

"We have no choice but to confront this threat together. Either we cooperate across our borders, or terrorists will continue to exploit the gaps between them."

🔴El juicio contra el piloto cubano Luis Raúl González-Pardo por el derribo de dos avionetas de la organización Hermanos al Rescate en 1996 comenzará el próximo 24 de agosto en Miami. González-Pardo es el único de los seis acusados que se encuentra detenido, mientras que entre los señalados figura el exgobernante cubano Raúl Castro.

⭕La Fiscalía estadounidense acusa a los implicados de conspiración para matar ciudadanos estadounidenses y asesinato por la muerte de cuatro aviadores: Carlos Costa, Armando Alejandre, Mario Manuel de la Peña y Pablo Morales, quienes fueron derribados mientras participaban en misiones de búsqueda y rescate de balseros cubanos.

⭕González-Pardo llegó a Estados Unidos en 2024 bajo parole humanitario, pero posteriormente fue acusado de fraude migratorio por ocultar su vínculo con la Fuerza Aérea cubana. El proceso judicial podría extenderse por dos semanas y representa el primer juicio derivado de la acusación presentada contra los responsables del ataque.

Through 11J: One People, the American Museum of the Cuban Diaspora sought to preserve the voices, images, and stories of a defining moment in Cuba's contemporary history.

This exhibition was created not only to document the nationwide protests of July 11, 2021, but also to honor the courage of ordinary Cubans who demanded freedom with remarkable dignity. Every photograph, testimony, and installation serves as a reminder that history is shaped by those who dare to stand up for their convictions.

As we mark five years since the 11J movement, we reaffirm our commitment to preserving its legacy and ensuring that future generations understand the significance of those events in Cuba's ongoing pursuit of freedom.

Because preserving memory is essential to preserving freedom.

Hace un año abrimos las puertas a 11J: Un Solo Pueblo con una convicción: que el 11 de julio nunca fuera reducido a una fecha en el calendario.

Esta exhibición fue creada para honrar el valor de quienes salieron a las calles con la esperanza de una Cuba libre y para recordar que la historia también se escribe con actos de coraje ciudadano.

Hoy, en el quinto aniversario del 11J, renovamos nuestro compromiso de mantener viva esa memoria, porque los pueblos que preservan su historia también preservan su esperanza.

La memoria es un compromiso con la verdad. Y la verdad es el primer paso hacia la libertad.
