Precisely and why we have always said that the US needs to learn to be a great nation amongst equals. If not it faces total ruin. It is not rocket science. It cannot defeat China, economically, financially or militarily.
Xi:
Can China and the United States overcome the Thucydides Trap and create a new paradigm of major-country relations? Can we meet global challenges together and provide greater stability for the world? Can we build a bright future together for our bilateral relations in the interest of the well-being of the two peoples and the future of humanity? These are the questions vital to history, to the world and to the people.
Something rather important is being overlooked.
The UAE has a sovereign wealth fund of nearly $3tn. Guess where much of that investment is located?
In the US.
Guess why the UAE wanted $3.5bn loan repaid by Pakistan?
Financial problems? Absolutely not. It's politics because Adu Dhabi is angry about Pakistan's support for Iran. It's about trying to hurt Pakistan financially.
Etc etc etc
As ever be informed.
🇩🇪🗣️ Jürgen Klopp: “I no longer want to be a coach. That’s what I think. I don’t miss anything. In 2001 I told my girlfriend (now my wife) that I would work 25 years at full throttle without looking anywhere else. If it didn’t work out, she told me she knew how to drive a taxi. The risk was worth it, but I didn’t think I’d do this until the end of my life.
For 25 years I went to a wedding twice: one was mine and the other was two months ago. In 25 years I went to the movies four times, all in the last eight weeks. Now it’s a pleasure to be able to do it."
Do you think we'll ever see him coach again? 😔
@ayoadeba@RepRileyMoore It's long overdue we dropped sectorialism, work together and find solutions to our issues. Thank you brother for your insight.
I pray that more people see it your way, hate is not the solution. May God bless you and Nigeria.
A video that has recently gone viral alleges that the @sultan_ofsokoto recently met with President @officialABAT and asked a simple question:
If Nigeria needs a U.S. military base… why must it be in the North?
Now hold that thought.
Because a day or so later, Education Minster, @DrTunjiAlausa, on a UK trip with the President, is announcing below a partnership between his ministry, @NigEducation, and Coventry University to award UK degrees… in Nigeria.
Location? Alaro, Lekki. Lagos.
So let’s get this straight:
One region gets foreign universities.
Another gets proposed foreign military bases.
Opportunity vs occupation.
Books vs boots.
Degrees vs drones.
And no, this isn’t about Coventry University.
That debate can wait.
This is about a pattern.
A pattern where development flows in one direction…
And strategic burdens are shipped to another.
Where Lagos gets foreign universities.
The North gets foreign military bases.
Coincidence? Maybe.
But patterns, when repeated often enough, stop being accidents.
They become policy.
And the real tragedy?
Other #Nigerian regions are too busy with petty politics to notice.
And #Arewa, once the loudest political voice in the room, now watches in silence.
Compromised.
Muted.
Managed.
Docile.
Absent.

There are far too many people on this platform who think war is like watching Rambo.
But if real war came within 500 miles of where they live they would shit the bed, every night.
By that same logic, one could argue, what if billionaires were left to do all the labour themselves, from farming and manufacturing to cleaning and logistics.
If you have spent your whole life living in a nation which was the hegemonic power you are going to struggle to accept that is no longer the case.
Nothing lasts forever, empires are no different. You can't reinvent it, its time is finite and once it has gone, it will never return.
Fighting to imagine it still exists is self-defeating and deeply damaging. Let it go and accept that there is something far better to embrace in the now and in the future.
