Kurdistan-focused Genel Energy has rejected Norwegian oil firm DNO's £202 million ($271.8 million) takeover bid, it said on Friday, as it fundamentally undervalued the London-listed company.

Iran is planning to attack Kurds, and are even considering cross border invasion of KRG.
Iran views this region as their weakest link, and Kurds as the mules.
Not good.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said that negotiations over the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) have reached a dead end, stressing that Egypt reserves its full right to defend its water security if it is threatened.
He added that Egypt rejects any unilateral actions on the Blue Nile, emphasizing that it will not accept any one-sided measures by Ethiopia.
Abdelatty also described the crisis in Sudan as "extremely painful," affirming that Egypt continues its regional and international diplomatic efforts to support a ceasefire and reach a political solution that preserves Sudan's unity, institutions, and territorial integrity.

WATCH: Armenia's PM Nikol Pashinyan says he won't respond to Israel's recent decision on the 1915 events, citing the "weaponization of the Armenian Genocide:"
We believe that not entering into the issue of the weaponization of the Armenian Genocide is in the interests of the Republic of Armenia.
Therefore, we do not see any need for a response.
South Cyprus has rejected a Turkish Cypriot family’s €41m claim over their own land - the ground beneath Paphos airport.
The Greek Cypriot court of appeal refused to accept they were expelled in 1974, called the seizure “lawful,” and ordered the family to pay its legal costs.
Meanwhile in the North, the Immovable Property Commission has paid Greek Cypriot claimants over €767 million for lost property - and is recognised by the European Court of Human Rights as an effective remedy. The South has no equivalent.
They reject our claims. We compensate theirs. That’s the Cyprus property double standard.
The US has seized $5.49 billion of Venezuela’s oil revenue in 2026, then offers just $150 million in earthquake aid while the UN estimates $6.7 billion in losses. It’s not relief, it’s extortion. At the same time, US has $30 billion of frozen assets while people are under rubble.
This is Tijuana 4:00 am last night. Iran national team arrived.
This is the most unfair and shameful #WarCup in history.
If any of this happened to Team USA in Iran — no recovery after matches, immediate flights to the airport, massive external pressure, or management/logistics staff denied visas — FIFA would suspend Iran instantly, cancel hosting rights, and slap on heavy fines.
But when it’s our Team Melli? Total silence and bias for the wrong side.
Shame on America.
Shame on FIFA.
Team Melli fights with dignity anyway.

VIDEO | "They said that [if] you target Israel, we will target you and your family, you have been warned."
In a recent interview with Al Arabiya English, International Criminal Court Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan revealed that he, ICC jurists, and UN personnel have been subjected to direct threats targeting their families after pursuing war crimes cases against Israeli leaders.
The coercion intensified following a formal letter from 12 US senators explicitly warning Khan that targeting Israel would prompt Washington to target him and his relatives.

From Belarus to the Baltic, Russia's nuclear signalling is growing louder — but analysts say the real target may be Western decision-making rather than the battlefield

Iran’s latest AI Lego video marks a significant pivot. Instead of taunting the US military, it reflects a new chapter in which Tehran will seek peace by reaching out directly to the American people, bypassing the US government. It's a mirror image of the US strategy of the past decades.
Some of the lines are quite noteworthy and will likely resonate with the anti-establishment sentiments prevailing among American youth in particular:
"I love the constitution, the way it was meant. But not the way your leaders bypass consent..."
Pope Leo XIV’s emphasis on de-escalation is creating a new diplomatic hurdle for Washington, influencing the stance of Catholic-majority nations and traditional US allies
