When I started residency, I tried several ways to save articles for later reference for learning, and also to use for academic writing. I tried folders on my computer, Google Drive, and Zotero. Then I found Papers by @readcube. You can drag and drop articles and it automatically will fill in the article information (example below). It has great tools for tagging and categorizing articles to find them later, and taking notes/annotating articles. I'll add some more tips on how to use Papers soon! #AcademicTwitter #MedEd #orthotwitter
Qatar Airways free starlink WiFi, in economy, good enough for me to use Chat GPT and stream live NFL games. Meanwhile, @AmericanAir lets me occasionally send a text message when it’s working with paid WiFi. Gotta step up the game domestically…
@YouTubeTV managing to force me to stay subscribed by making it so that if I cancel #YouTubeTV I lose my subscription to Sunday Ticket, and now I’m paying to watch college football separately. Gone from the best option ever at a great price to essentially a trap you can’t escape.
This is an unfortunate and completely avoidable situation. The plate is placed proximally but also for these fractures there are at least 2 manufacturers (and maybe more) that make a “j plate” that’s specifically designed as a lateral column plate with smaller screws distally but with more robust 4.5mm screws for the shaft. Go long, use the right plate!
🦴 In this month’s Surgical Technique, Michael McKee, MD; Niloofar Dehghan, MD; and @midpatelmd discuss fixation for periprosthetic humeral shaft #fractures.
