@starrylibrarry Yeah she’s just got a very simplistic writing style, which is incongruous with the dark subject matter. It reads like YA but the plot is very middle-aged chick lit, if that makes sense? Definitely not for me, anyway 🤣

@starrylibrarry I’ve read 2 coho books (read verity a few months ago) and I definitely won’t read another.

@starrylibrarry I definitely felt it was a good depiction of abuse - it was based off her mother’s experiences, not her own. But unfortunately it just wasn’t very interesting to me! The characters were flat and a bit boring, and the writing is very mediocre.
