@RTMBlackburn good article re PHEV being a hard sell in Australia. For PHEV to have better uptake they need two things. A lower price point & bigger electric range. A daily work commute in most capitals can easily be more than 70km each way, so longer battery range is essential.

@alexhart7 thankyou for your story tonight highlighting children under 16. With 25% of all new cases in NSW being kids under 16yo, it's important to keep up the focus of this cohort, as state gov has no plan that involves them.

@monsieur0o WIth 25% of all cases in NSW being under 16, and long term side affects such as heart muscle inflammation now being realised in kids, I wouldn't wish covid on any child. Not to mention the strain it puts on children hospitals, stress for the little patients and their parents.

@NSWCHO @BradHazzard what testing was/is now in place to detect staff at Liverpool Hosp prior to start each shift? If you had RAT in place for all staff then chance you would have detected the nurse, who must be feeling terrible. To say you're looking into it is not good enough.

@alexhart7 @AshleighRaper Nurse infected for 3 days while infected & asymptomatic. Not her fault. NSW Health checks didn't pick up her virus prior to shift start. What changes are Health making to improve checks on all hospital staff prior to start if shift? RAT would be logical.

@NSWHealth @BradHazzard build back public confidence in AZ by publishing weekly the total number of AZ given in NSW by age bracket 18-30, 31-40, 41-50 etc alongside number reported side affects etc. It's a good news story which should be told.

@frasdigby @NSWHealth FYI - getting any of the jabs, Astra, Pfizer, Moderna, J&J etc does not stop you from catching Covid, it's main aim is to reduce the symptoms and impact. So while you can still catch it, it reduces the likelihood of serious illness/death and reduces the chance of spreading too.

@wdron Unfortunately for us in Australia, Skoda has already said they won't be releasing the iV here, and VW, in general, won't be selling any PHEV in Aus from any of their brands. A real shame as PHEVs are better suited to Australian distance driving compared to BEVs.

@wdron enjoying Octavia iV review. Lack of internal cig lighter is silly. Also why doesn't the car come with built-in dashcam that uses rear camera & the Columbus entertain unit. The MY17 Ambition model still sounds like the best value model they have put out with ACC included

@wdron And for them to be simply clever why not build a dashcam into the car, say into the mirror itself, connect it to the Columbus entertainment system,where you put in an SD card; wire up the reverse camera to double as the rear dashcam camera, and charge an extra $300 on the price.
