Seven years of service. Hundreds of deployments. One exceptional K-9.
K-9 Cino is officially retiring from the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office after more than seven years of dedicated service. Cino joined the K-9 Unit in May 2019 and was partnered with Sergeant N. Butler. Throughout their time together, they completed 235 detection deployments and 322 patrol deployments.
Cino’s work contributed to 274 arrests and the location of 150 individuals, while also supporting the seizure of approximately 419 pounds of marijuana, 29 kilograms of methamphetamine, 11 kilograms of cocaine, 1 kilogram of heroin, and $125,000 in U.S. currency.
Beyond the stats, he was a dependable partner whose work made a meaningful difference to the Sheriff’s Office and the community he served. As Cino closes this chapter, he’ll be heading home with Sergeant Butler to enjoy the retirement he’s earned.
