Annular Solar Eclipse ☀️from Easter Island 🗿🏝️ in the South Pacific. The view was absolutely stunning !!! We were so lucky with the weather, and we managed to see all phases. The sky got slightly darker, but not as dark as it gets during a total eclipse. Amazing experience 😃

#thinsectionthursday here’s an (ultra)mylonite with sick delta porphyroclasts and folded monomineralic layers. At the outcrop I thought I was sampling a sheared quartzofeldspathic dyklet but the mineral assemblage says otherwise. Dark layers are full of amph, grt, bt, fsp. 😁😱
Las inusuales mareas que los pueblos costeros están experimentando estos días tienen su fundamento en varias coincidencias astronómicas poco frecuentes que las convierten en fenómenos tremendamente interesantes.
¡Dentro hilo! 🧵🌊🌒
