R.I.P to this Black American civil rights attorney Kiah Duggins who passed away last night in the plane crash in DC.
“What brought me to this work is personal. I’m a descendent of enslaved people who have been exploited economically and criminally for hundreds of years.”
She talks about how the same day she took her LSAT to become a lawyer, her uncle got detained and passed which sparked a fire.
@dr_kiya_xoxo (a chemist who went to high school with the Kiah) and I reached out to her family to make sure we can do the gofund me. Y’all donate or retweet.

I'm proud of Vice President Kamala Harris. The election results aren't a reflection of her, it is a reflection of what this country is. I'm at peace because whatever happens from here is exactly what this country signed up.
sometimes, you have to decide, “this is the last time these people are gonna make me feel this way” and stand on it. Whether it’s family, a relationship, or a friendship.
one thing this year taught me is that you can communicate as clear as day, in multiple ways, on separate occasions but the one thing you can never control is what someone else chooses to understand or believe. you can’t control their perceived reality.
I can't believe I have to say this, but please don't bring your socially anxious friend out to a gathering just to ignore them or leave them alone with a group of people they don't know well
“The economy is actually doing great!”
Cool! Show me a list of cities where a person working full time making $15/hr can afford an apartment, health insurance and groceries and still have a little left over for either savings or recreation. Take your time!
2024 will give me everything I deserve & more from my love life to my personal life to my relationship with god and having complete financial freedom ❤️
I just wanna opt out of capitalism.
I don’t wanna work, pay rent and bills, watch multiple genocides live on social media, have my tax dollars fund these genocides, have to pay $5,000+ in move in fees to rent a decent place & pay $15+ for a small pack of chicken.
I’m tired.
allow yourself to be a beginner. putting heavy expectations on yourself makes your job harder. give yourself time to adapt. your programs may have taught you some things but everything is different when real life application is involved. the learning has just begun. embrace that.
y’all have no respect for the ppl who make your life easier. the person making your morning coffee deserves a livable wage. the person stocking the groceries you buy deserves a livable wage. the person cleaning the restrooms in the office you work at deserves a livable wage.
