It’s the big one! We’ve opened the call for @BritishAcademy_ Global Professorships. We offer up to £900k over 4 years to attract internationally established scholars to work in the UK to engage in cutting edge humanities & social science research https://t.co/Gpcd7tfL3y
Please register to vote. Don’t let them claim the “under 35s” are disengaged. Spoil your ballot if you don’t have an acceptable option locally. They still have to count you!
We’ve opened the call for @BritishAcademy_ Visiting Fellowships 2025!
As part of our commitment to international engagement we will give up to £40k for academics to spend 3-6 months to be based at a UK higher education or other research institution

We made it into @guardian last week.
@misfits_music are bringing Brum Rocks Live to Birmingham on 14th July and I’ve written a Brummie anthem for the occasion. It’s going to be played by a mass super-band of hundreds of musicians
The timing of the election might cause problems for some, esp students coming to the end of term or those who have holidays booked (whoever they intend to vote for). The solution is to apply for a postal vote. Here’s the link to do so. Please share.

Hey, guess what? MAIA is expanding 📢📢📢
We're shaping and building our team and invite members of the community to and those aligned with ur work to explore MAIA as an option.
This is the start of us open sourcing and sharing all of the work over the last 18 months, as we pivot out of re-founding, focus on deep demonstration, and reignite a part of the work that had to pause during COVID-19, the ambitious co-building of the Neighbourhood Public Square.
Focusing on the capabilities, capacities, re imagination and physical infrastructures required for neighbourhoods and the communities within them are at forefront and co-leading the climate, social, economic and ecological transitions ahead. It’s a sobering piece to work on, and it’s important not to treat it as an endorsement of these futures, instead an honest look at where we are, and the scale of work we need collective invest in and discover together.
Thank you to all the incredible collaborators, but particularly in this chapter @DarkMatter_Labs, @Jack_Minchella, Emma Pfeiffer + a gorgeous design / illustration / narrative crew led by @byngtown.
