Would be good if everyone, including media outlets, could stop using the term "illegal immigrants". Deeply dehumanising. Implicitly reinforces anti-immigration politics. People can't be illegal.
Very much not on here atm but: contrary to what Boris Johnson implies here, seeking asylum is not a crime. It is a right. The current government (and, sadly, its predecessors of both hues) want to muddy, obscure & degrade that right. We must not accede to it.
