Under Isaias Afwerki’s rule, #Eritrea has become an air prison where basic human rights are systematically suppressed – no functioning constitution, no free elections and no independent institutions to protect its citizens. Indefinite national service traps generations in forced labour, dissent is silenced without trial and families live in constant fear. For all Eritreans, the country offers no real future – only control, hardship and the painful reality that it often feels impossible to return home.

This is bigger than #AFCON -it is about freedom to breathe and to survive.

It is time for the international community to openly support the Eritrean Blue Revolution Front #EBRF, the youth struggle for regime change in Eritrea.

Le régime #érythréen est connu pour ses méthodes de répression transnationale. Même en Europe, les critiques et opposants du régime ne sont pas à l’abri. Selon Amnesty International et Human Rights Watch, le gouvernement maintient un réseau d'informateurs dans la diaspora, chargé de surveiller et d’intimider les voix dissidentes. Beaucoup d'Érythréens exilés signalent des menaces à leur encontre ou contre leurs familles restées en #Érythrée lorsqu'ils s'opposent au régime.

Die Feindbilder des Regimes umfassen Nachbarländer wie die Region Tigray in Äthiopien sowie Gegner des Regimes und der Westen. Besonders alarmierend ist, dass Kinder und Jugendliche auf diesen Veranstaltungen indoktriniert werden, um Gewalt und Krieg zu verherrlichen.
