THE TOWN THAT VANISHED GRAVITY FALLS OREGON 1967
Long before the animated series made it famous, Gravity Falls was a real place—and its disappearance remains one of America’s most baffling occult mysteries.
In the summer of 1967, siblings Mark and Dina Pines were sent to stay with their great-uncle Harold Pines in a quiet Oregon forest town officially named Gravity Fall. The town had everything: a sheriff’s office, a school, a lumber mill, and nearly 900 residents. But everything changed the day Mark discovered a leather-bound book, wrapped in chains and animal hide, hidden beneath a loose floorboard in his uncle’s cabin.
Inside were unrecognizable symbols, ritual instructions, and horrifying sketches of creatures that defied biology. When Harold saw the book, he trembled and whispered, “They were never supposed to be let out.”
Within days, Gravity Fall descended into chaos. Residents reported shadows with no source, footprints ending mid-air, and voices calling their names from the trees. Then, during a violent summer storm, all communication ceased. Roads buckled. Power failed.
When authorities arrived two days later, the entire town was gone—not destroyed, not flooded, but erased. No buildings. No cars. No bodies. Just untouched forest, as if the town had never existed.
Mark and Dina were found 40 miles away, dehydrated and confused, with no memory of the town, the book, or their uncle. Within a year, Gravity Fall was removed from every official U.S. map.
To this day, the book has never been recovered—and no one knows what was unleashed that summer.
Was it a government cover-up? A dimensional rift? Or something far older, awakened by forbidden knowledge?

NEW: Chinese Coast Guard ship crashes into a Chinese navy destroyer as the two ships were both chasing a Philippine coast guard ship in the South China Sea.
Yikes.
Philippine patrol boats were escorting dozens of fishing boats when Chinese ships tried to intimidate them by blocking them and firing a water cannon, according to the WaPo.
Philippine Coast Guard spokesperson Jay Tarriela said the Chinese coast guard ship performed a "risky maneuver" during the chase, leaving it "unseaworthy" after the collision.

@maddenifico And yet he won’t do anything about it. He will stand there and grandstand to stay a senator, but god forbid he actually does something like sponsor a bill to affect change. Hawley is a POS.
