Chinese President Xi Jinping saw that a portrait of President Biden, who once called him a dictator, was no longer displayed on the wall and had been replaced by a picture of an automatic pen. He laughed so hard he nearly doubled over! 🤣
Xi Jinping likes Trump because he believes Trump doesn’t bring up China’s political system. During Trump’s first term, after the U.S.-China confrontation, China came to recognize this.
In the past, virtually every U.S. president, along with Washington’s foreign-policy establishment, the broader China-policy establishment, Democrats focused on human rights, and Republican hawks such as Marco Rubio, would put China’s political system at the top of the agenda in virtually every discussion involving China.
The final crossing of t’s and dotting of i’s – and what should be my last update on SEC v Ripple ever…
Last week, the SEC agreed to drop its appeal without conditions. @Ripple has now agreed to drop its cross-appeal. The SEC will keep $50M of the $125M fine (already in an interest-bearing escrow in cash), with the balance returned to Ripple. The agency will also ask the Court to lift the standard injunction that was imposed earlier at the SEC’s request. All subject to Commission vote, drafting of final documents and usual court processes.
That’s all folks!
This is it – the moment we’ve been waiting for. The SEC will drop its appeal – a resounding victory for Ripple, for crypto, every way you look at it.
The future is bright. Let's build.
This would be a great time to get Brad, David or Monica on @patrickbetdavid . He seems like he wants to do an honest job of covering the crypto space.
This could introduce a new audience to XRP and be the biggest podcast he does this year.
Please retweet 🔥🔥🔥
Some weeks feel like months in crypto...this was one of them. From the @WhiteHouse Crypto Summit to the @CFTC CEO Roundtable and the sheer amount of news announced (hooray for @NatCryptoAssoc!), it’s been quite a few days.
There’s been a lot of talk about what this White House has and will prioritize with their crypto agenda - most importantly, regulatory clarity through Congressional action, as well as a BTC reserve & crypto stockpile, support for stablecoin innovation backed by US Treasuries, and more.
I was extremely pleased to see the incredible support from this administration.
It’s easy to get lost in some of the maxi-induced noise, but there’s so much more to this industry than the infighting and one coin versus another time-wasting rhetoric.
We will – as we’ve always done -- continue to champion the need for a level playing field (and it was great to hear others in the room echo this as well!) and for the industry to come together to move much needed legislation forward in the US.
An incredible THANK YOU to @realdonaldtrump for opening and welcoming us to the White House (amazing contrast to the the hostility of the Biden administration), @davidsacks47 and @BoHines for a truly historic Summit, and @carolinedpham for hosting us at the CFTC!
This ruling is absolutely insane!
How on Earth are we supposed to stop fraud and waste of taxpayer money without looking at how money is spent?
That’s literally impossible!
Something super shady is going to protect scammers.

Senator John Kennedy on Elon Musk and DOGE exposing USAID, “I'll tell you what Mr. Musk discovered. I find it fascinating. He discovered:

2025 kicks off with big wins for crypto in the US and Ripple's growth: new MTL licenses in NY & TX, new customers onboarded, and ramping up hiring across the U.S. ⭐️ https://t.co/ZHmEracQN6
FUD? The XRP ARMY does not succumb to FUD.
They were beaten in the heat of the SEC lawsuit, and everyone told them "XRP is dead."
They starved during the 2021 bull run and everyone told them "XRP is a dinosaur."
They sat in the cold of protracted litigation for years, waiting, and everyone told them "XRP is a stupid hold."
And now they have emerged from the forge - victorious, hard, cold, steel. FUD means nothing to them now.
If anybody understands what it means to be a victim of lawfare, it’s @realDonaldTrump, and nobody understands it better.
@rogerkver is not actually guilty by the letter of the law.
The exploitation of a vague tax code is weaponized to attack the crypto community. A pro-crypto president does not let this stand.
Pardoning Roger Ver today would send a strong message that for the next four years, our pioneers will be supported to make America great again! 🇺🇸🗽

The bombshell dropped when Musk suggested that Bill Gates, Democratic mega-donor Reid Hoffman, and other billionaires are “terrified” of a Trump victory because if he wins, the Epstein client list is coming out.
Musk said this after declaring that there is a “strong overlap” between Kamala's top 100 puppet masters and the Epstein client list.
Musk called it “mind-blowing” that hundreds of January 6th protesters have been sentenced to prison, yet there’s been no action to prosecute the “worst offender on the Epstein client list.” “That’s insane!” he emphasized.
“I think part of why Kamala's getting so much support is that if Trump wins, that Epstein client list is going to become public. And some of those billionaires behind Kamala are terrified of that outcome,” Musk said.
