La terrorista musulmana es Fatma Amarna, una mujer palestina musulmana de unos 40 años. Se infiltró ilegalmente en Israel desde Jenin, llegó a la Ciudad Vieja de Jerusalén con un cuchillo oculto bajo su velo islámico integral y, según su propio interrogatorio, quería "sacrificar su alma por Alá cometiendo yihad contra los no musulmanes", con la esperanza de "alcanzar el paraíso mediante su propia muerte".

El agente de policía israelí reaccionó al instante. Usó su propio cuerpo para derribar a la terrorista y la neutralizó con fuerza física. Deliberadamente eligió no dispararle con su arma porque temía que pudiera herir a transeúntes inocentes que se encontraban en la zona.

Esta es la realidad diaria a la que se enfrenta Israel: terroristas musulmanes que consideran el asesinato de otras personas un acto santo de adoración a Alá. Sin las barreras de seguridad, miles de israelíes (y turistas) inocentes más serían masacrados en las calles.

Al mundo le encanta condenar las medidas de seguridad de Israel tildándolas de “apartheid” u “opresión”. La verdad es sencilla: Israel construye muros y vallas porque la otra parte sigue enviando terroristas que quieren matar personas como sacrificios humanos por amor a Alá.

Trump behandelt Europa inzwischen wie einen wirtschaftlichen Gegner und, noch schlimmer, wie einen Depp. Er benutzt die Sicherheitsfrage und Grönland dafür als Druckmittel. Das ist völlig inakzeptabel. Das EU-USA-Handelsabkommen war bereits beim Abschluss ein „Besser-als-nichts-Abkommen“. Nach den jüngsten Drohungen aus Washington muss es sofort auf Eis gelegt werden. Es kann keine Zollfreiheit für amerikanische Produkte geben, während Trump Europa mit Strafzöllen erpresst. Abkommen mit Trump sind das Papier nicht wert, auf dem sie stehen.

Europa muss jetzt Gemeinsamkeit leben und mit harten wirtschaftlichen Gegenmaßnahmen reagieren: mit Gegenzöllen, der Aktivierung des Anti-Coercion-Instruments und einer klaren Schutzklausel für unsere Sicherheitsinteressen in der Arktis. Wer meint, Trump ändere sein Verhalten, macht sich Illusionen. Die EU darf sich weder einschüchtern noch erpressen lassen und muss selbstbewusst ihren wirtschaftlichen und sicherheitspolitischen Weg gehen.
