@peterstratta@_AustinHill Clown took out Shane AND CZ in San Diego and wants to pretend like this happened for nothing? Dude is a bum and always has been
@SciGuySpace Looks like the other tower is still standing but damaged beyond repair as well. At this point I'm worried the concrete itself may be damaged
@pirooooon3 I think it's an over-zealous expression of appreciation, not a desire for involuntary conquest. They're saying "we like you so much we want you to be part of our country" like an adopted family member.
@GtYKqDJUjICfqLN@pirooooon3 I do find it odd that a culture that values politeness and not disturbing others so much has this one exception. No music or loud conversations on public transport or walking down the street, but this is considered acceptable.
@pirooooon3 Yes, it's considered rude and inconsiderate in Western countries to make any noise (aside from speaking) while eating. No slurping, no smacking lips, no chewing with your mouth open.
@sow413 Japanese Ramen is on another level. In America when people say "Ramen" they're usually referring to dehydrated shit you buy at the grocery store for 25 cents because you're broke.
@m_takewaka@realSnakeFarm Who cares about the freezing and boiling point of water? That's not intuitive for human use. What's the freezing and boiling point of lead? It's just as relevant of a material to base a temperature scale on as water
@LadiesMan217_SW It's complete nonsense, but I can't help but shout "GET EM MO!" every time. I'm so glad we saved some of our battleships for museums. I strongly encourage our Japanese friends to visit them one day.
