@Gfilche@grok@grok@Gfilche what happens with the upside potential of @Tesla over three years if there is a merger with Spacex at the market cap dilution level. Would it be better to have spacex shares that carry a higher premium vs the Tesla shares which could appreciate but are diluted?
@TylerTroutmanTX@JonBbC_TechGeek The difference is that Teslas market cap at IPO was 2.2B. This is 1.75T. These are order of magnitude different numbers to get a multiple on your investment.
@EvanMcManus@JonBbC_TechGeek Not sure how you’re saying you’re getting shares at $135. Are you assuming you’re getting them from IOI allocations from your brokerage? If you do you generally get penalized for early selling or some brokerages charge an early liquidation fee.
@FloridaBartley@Shalxxx1@elonmusk@MarioNawfal You just charge at night and you’re ready to go in the AM. Besides the use case seems odd. I have regularly seen gas stations during hurricanes totally overrun by people and sold out of gasoline. It’s the same situation just a different energy source.
@mrfundman@SawyerMerritt@SpaceX Why should any of us as TSLA shareholders benefit from SpaceX? Once it’s public and the two merge that is a more relevant question.
@das_bill@marineroca@SenatorSlama We all pay more. That’s what inflation does even for the exact same service over time. Prices never go down, even with ‘new technology’
@gnoble79 I was reading your note, but the minute I see an item that I know is fake it brings everything into question:
Any CEO award tranches that have not been earned in his 2025 package are immediately forfiteted on Change In Control if Tesal was acquired/merged with SpaceX.
@LatterDayWright@TansuYegen Is that really the bar that we’re using here? My car is always full when I charge at home at night and even if I am doing a five hour road trip, when I eventually take a pit stop and head back out in ten minutes, my cars at 70-80%. This whole gas pump equivalency is foolish.
@theficouple I don’t buy our Tesla’s for gas savings. It’s a nice perk because our solar panels charge the car. I’m curious what the depreciation value of any car after 5yrs? 50-60%?
What’s your point?
@pfinanceblogs@theficouple I’m 6yrs in with 87% of original capacity. This is a non-issue / FUD topic.
If you did have a problem, Tesla has it under warranty.
@yusufkrfz@elonmusk Guy sends rockets into space and has built factories globally to produce millions of vehicles and energy products annually, and you think he’s scared of challenges?
@kingk1921@FAFO_TV What he had to do was pay his financial obligation for his vehicle. Not run over another guy who’s doing his job to pay for his obligations….
@Arundhati_05 The Xiaomi YU7 SUV ranked first in China by sales last month, with 37,869 units sold, twice as many as Tesla’s 16,845 Model Y vehicles
No mention of cost per unit, margin per unit, no comments on FSD uptake in China - this isn’t a very compelling comparison.
