As I am #blind I have no choice but to use public transport.
I’m so fed up of trains getting cancelled (as is everyone)
Tonight it took me an extra 2 hours to get home from work. Why do @northernassist think it’s ok to just cancel? It’s disgraceful!

Blind and partially sight people who use Merseyrail travelling to Southport can now travel with more re-assurance as all platforms now have tactile markings indicating proximity to the edge. 😁
I am competing at National Water Sports Centre Nottingham with Amathus Dragon Boat Club based at Queen’s Dock Liverpool in the BDA National Dragon Boat Champioships over the next 2 days. Racing over distances ranging from 200 metres to 2 KM. 😁
I had a productive day at Sight Village Birmingham. I touched base with BBS UK, Talking News Federation, and the. Midlands Sight Loss councils. Now on an Avanti West Coast train back.

Navigating a medical centre or GP practise can be pretty challenging when you’re #blind or #PartiallySighted
Today Merseyside @SLCouncils have been at @WingateMedical in #Kirkby to deliver a vision awareness session to receptionists so they can support patients with sight loss
@ETWriteHome I am largely shielded from bus fares as I have a disabled person’s pass. Although I depend on buses and any promotion that helps increase usage should be encouraged! I do sometimes take advantage of the £2 ticket when I cross the boundary of Liverpool City Region before 9.30. ☺️
The £2 bus fare has been extended until the end of June! I know it’s not perfect, but it will help a lot of people and promote public transport. Keep riding buses and putting pressure on the government! And I’ve definitely got some more trips to plan…
1/2 Today members of both north west Sight Loss Councils visited @strawberryfield in #Liverpool
As well going on an audio described tour of the exhibition members enjoyed the chance to socialise and discuss joint working on projects for the year ahead.
