ICE has fatally shot 11 people since Donald Trump's second term began.
These are not isolated incidents. They are the predictable result of a cruel, violent system.
Abolish ICE.
I'm going to predict that when the damage assessment is complete, well into the future, Trump's greatest crime will prove to be espionage - AND - it will be the most catastrophic breach of national security in American history.
We will discover he passed secrets to Russia from day 1 because he was compromised; and did favors for the Saudis shortly after, purely for personal profit; and who knows what the hell else.
His many Useful Idiocies will boggle the mind. And his America First gaslight will be remembered as it should be remembered: "Trump Before America, facilitated by idiots who called themselves patriots."
His treachery - most done purely for power and profit, and some from pathology, revenge, and entitlement, will have massively impacted the globe, permanently shifted wealth, and cost many millions of lives.
I have to add that a good deal of it would not have happened but for our legacy media's consistent and widespread normalization of his disorders.
People killed by ICE just this year:
Geraldo Lunas Campos, Luis Gustavo Núñez Cáceres, Luis Beltrán Yañez-Cruz, Renée Nicole Good, Parady La, Heber Sanchez Domínguez, Victor Manuel Diaz, Alex Pretti, Alberto Gutierrez-Reyes, Jairo Garcia-Hernandez, Lorth Sim, Pejman Karshenas Najafabadi, Emmanuel Clifford Damas, Mohammad Nazeer Paktyawal, Royer Perez-Jimenez, José Guadalupe Ramos-Solano, Tuan Van Bui, Alejandro Cabrera Clemente, Aled Damien Carbonell-Betancourt, Denny Adan Gonzalez, Mamuka Artmeladze, Felix Alcorta-Rodriguez, Nenko Stanev Gantchev, Delvin Francisco Rodriguez, Fouad Saeed Abdulkadir, Jean Wilson Brutus, Shiraz Fatehali Sachwani, Pete Sumalo Montejo, Lorenzo Antonio Batrez Vargas, Ismael Ayala-Uribe, Santos Banegas Reyes, Genry Donaldo Ruiz-Guillen, Serawit Gezahegn Dejene, Maksym Chernyak, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo.
Lorenzo Salgado Araujo called Houston home for 35 years. On Tuesday, an ICE agent shot and killed him. His family learned of his death from a video before anyone bothered to knock on their door.
New York City stands with the Salgado family in demanding a full, independent investigation and real accountability. To the Salgado family and any immigrant family in this city living in fear: we grieve with you and we will continue to stand beside you in the pursuit of justice.
Abolish ICE.
It is fucking crazy how right-wing this country has become in the last 15 years. The Democrats have to run the most reasonable normie to ever live so they can win a swing district by 3 points against a wife-beating Christian Nationalist who got rich scamming nursing home residents and thinks black people look like that because Satan left them in the stove too long
A nazi becoming the first trillionaire off taxpayer subsidies mergers and apartheid mine inheritance isn't an anomaly. It's showing you what the system rewards.
Capitalism is a death cult
Black people in America have been on the right side of history for hundreds of years, and it hasn't leveled the scales. We’re not the problem. This racist country is.
If we survive Trump, Dems will run up huge numbers in 2026 & 2028, like 2006 & '08.
But if the next President doesn't govern like FDR, broad reforms, corruption prosecutions, landmark legislation, we end up right back here.
Winning isn't enough. Dems have to change things.
The Afroman Trial.
-Cops raid Afromans house for bullshit reasons.
-Steal money, break his door, fuck his house up.
-No criminality found whatsoever, no charges at all pressed on Afroman.
-Afroman spends the next 3 years making songs that make fun of all the officers involved by name, even using footage of the raid from his own CCTV cameras.
-Songs had titles like "Randy Walters is a son of a bitch" and "Lick Em Low Lisa" accusing one of the officers of being a lesbian and sleeping with the other officers wives.
-During the raid one officer looked like he was about to eat some lemon pound cake sitting on Afromans counter, Afroman made a whole album calling the officer fat.
-The cops get mad and file a lawsuit for defamation.
-Afroman turns up to court in a whole American flag suit.
-Officers performatively mald and cry while listening to the songs really trying to oversell how badly the songs upset them.
-One officer was suing because Afroman made a whole song about him saying he was fucking the officers wife. When the officer was asked if Afroman was really fucking his wife, he said "I don't know". Nuking his own case and establishing that there is a non-zero chance that Afroman might actually be fucking his wife.
-As his only witness for the trial, Afroman brought a deputies EX FUCKING WIFE.
-The jury ruled completely in favour of Afroman.
This entire thing has been a great win for free speech and absolutely fucking hilarious.
It’s been 15 years since Nicolas Winding Refn gave us this unforgettable intro. Kavinsky’s ‘Nightcall’ sets the tone perfectly. Drive is a masterpiece and one of Ryan Gosling’s finest performances.
Pure perfection.
Goosebumps! People often ask, is Shakespeare still relevant? Here is a great example, from the Steven Colbert Show, in which Sir Ian McKellen delivers an extraordinary speech. Shakespeare’s words are timeless, urgent and important.

Malcolm X: "Stop that compromising sweet-talk. Tell them how you really feel. Let them know that if they're not ready to clean their house up, they shouldn't have a house. It should catch on fire - and burn down"
