@bobfreelander if you’re looking for a great screwball comedy to discuss in a future episode, The Good Fairy from 1935 is fantastic. I saw it at this year’s Nitrate Picture Show and it killed!
Saw The Harbinger at @AnomalyFilmFest last year— really creepy! Does that “don’t fall asleep” fear really well. I’ve seen the poster art for Witch in the Window, but didn’t know the connection. Now I’ll have to check it out!
I have four independent movies to consider for your spooky season watchlists: The Harbinger, The Witch in the Window, We Go On, and Yellowbrickroad. If you like any of them, please spread the word. I’d really like to make more films, bigger films - and your support really helps.
I'm teaching animation to students young and old! Every season, Animatus opens its doors to those interested in animation. It helps if you like to draw, but anyone can animate! Starts October 8.
@jlalibs Great concept for a package. Can you say more about Against the Grain? Does it focus just on VS and partner labels, or look at other labels too?
@ThunderGruntBob@Jamie_Nash@JimmyRGeorge On the show you were asking for other films with the “house misdirect” twist. The Dark Knight does it when Batman is trying to save Rachel. Mission Impossible Rogue Nation does it when the agency is closing in on Ethan.
I’m watching this movie called Slime City (1988) on Tubi 📺 about this dude that got tricked into drinking some funky juice and now turns into this monster and has to kill to look normal again 😂
