(48 half hour slots) x (365 days) x (data at 1000bytes) = 17MB a year.
Suitable multi network SIMs are about £10/year.
A Zappi without install is from £779, plenty profit to cover 10 yrs of data cost.

Data charges are related to the vehicle app and for the owner to check things like preheating, not for the car to EV charge unit.
Also the data charges are insignificant anyway because they use IoT specific SIMs which only cost a couple of £/€/$ a year each.

@sarah_go_green @OctopusEnergy @Jaguar Jag owners should count themselves lucky that they had a charging API at all. Honda never had one in the UK and those in other parts of the world had to buy the Honda specific charger unit at an extortionate cost as the API was proprietary & not open.
