During an interview with Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson claimed that Nick Fuentes is part of a campaign to discredit “sincere” critics of “neoconservatism” on the right like JD Vance, Joe Kent, and himself.

Carlson said he first learned about Fuentes after seeing a clip in which Fuentes highlighted Dick Carlson’s CIA ties, connections Tucker claims he was unaware of until after his father’s death. According to Carlson, this incident made him suspicious of Nick Fuentes’ backing.

Carlson compared Fuentes to David Duke and called him a “weird little gay kid in his basement” for sinking Joe Kent’s 2022 congressional run after Kent publicly disavowed him.
