“Gotten better” might not be accurate when looking at who they’ve been playing. ND’s schedule and efficiently is almost identical to Miamis - Which is trigger event for the head to head protocol.
If they had done it correctly, both teams would be in. But Miami is in a conference, and the cfp can’t justify a team who won’t even play in the acccg making it in over a team that does
And you lost by 3 to the team that lost to SMU - who you said is not good. That elite ND secondary didn’t even get a pick - against Carson Beck. What is the metric that makes this ranking make sense? Is ND better than USC? Bc that’s y’all’s quality win and ours ND. So which is it?
This isn’t a power rating. It’s a ranking. For what you have done thus far. Not what you will have the potential to do in the future. Miami is absolute trash and has more quality wins than ND. Also, ND couldn’t “drop” to 19 because there were literally no rankings until tonight. The AP clown show is not one of the “advanced metrics”
Cats style is to bore you to death. They don’t make mistakes, and they especially don’t make mistakes like Carolina did. The boringness goes for the viewers as well. Our chances were there, just didn’t fall our way tonight - oh and Shesty’s brain just completely turned off on that Laffy goal
Agreed. Chances just didn’t bounce our way tonight when it comes down to it. Our sloppiness is a big hurdle though. Too many times we’re content to just willingly give the puck away. Also been having some major trouble breaking out of the zone for some reason - which leads to just dumping it all the time
