@adambspencer 1 -you sign up with an authorised instructor and get a licence
2- only if you crash
3-You learn about weather as part of 1 and fly when conditions are suitable, or end up in situation 2
Finding #30DaysOfQGIS very useful. Today finally worked out how to use that 'run as batch process' button. Immediately applied to an NDVI model I needed to run on 10 layers today.
@spatialthoughts Just started this, much appreciated. The F6 shortcut prompted me to look up others and discover ctrl-F6 (attribute table to just visible features) which would have saved me heaps of time over the last few years with huge web databases.
@joncoopertweets@billybragg In a situation where you are being served platters of shit, it actually seems reasonable to also be dubious of the other choice. Relevant xkcd https://t.co/DVXYdo7KEa
@car37Lon2cas@lesanto@PeterBom4@matoxley@GPMag_@MotoGP I'd have thought coming into the grid after the warm up lap was the critical one. Already enough things to go wrong with engaging start devices, one more seems like trouble.
@matoxley@journey_ev@DrMoragKerr @Newtons7215 It's that "or equivalent car" disclaimer they put in the booking. I'm a big fan of EVs, but you shouldn't give them to people who haven't booked one. Last time I rented a car the person in the queue in front had been given a 5 seat car after booking a 9 seater - similar thing.
@RodDilkes@DoctorKarl NCAP already admitted they did no analysis of the possibility of Lane Keep Assist systems causing more accidents than they prevent before making them mandatory for 5 star ratings. I wouldn't expect much more here.
