“Revenue teams don’t have a data problem. They have a signal problem,” said Sean Murray, co-CEO of QuadSci. We won the ML Company of the Year for second time! https://t.co/LKFtJdKMBz
Databricks CEO Ali Ghodsi warns the "SaaS Apocalypse" is real: Barriers to entry have collapsed, and AI agents have already replaced humans as the primary users
With a fresh $5 Billion in capital and a $134 Billion valuation, Ghodsi reveals why the traditional software business model is under siege
Here is how the AI era is rewriting the rules of the $600B software market:
> 81% Agent-Driven:
- For the first time, over 81% of databases launched on Databricks are created by autonomous agents, not humans
> 10x Dev Speed:
- AI has made writing software ten times faster, allowing new competitors to disrupt markets that were once protected by massive moats
> The "Advisor" Strategy:
- To survive skyrocketing AI costs, companies are switching to "advisor" architectures - using cheap open-source models for basic tasks and only calling "big brains" like GPT-5 when they get stuck
> Small Teams Win:
- Ghodsi insists that big teams are now a liability; in the AI era, coordination is the biggest bottleneck, and small, nimble squads are the only ones who can move fast enough
"Writing software is ten times faster now... your margin is my opportunity"

@ALaRocco0801 Palms will play a top 6 role and likely first line unless a UFA or trade happens. Eklund will have to earn those minutes. Def won’t start there
More than half of SaaS companies are seeing NRR decline, and it’s not because teams are doing less. It’s because the signals they rely on to understand customers haven’t evolved with the market.

@xwleblancx Islander fan here and we’re absolutely lucky to watch him night in and night out. Demidov is a stud and the Habs are fun to watch again. Fast, skilled and tough. You guys are in for a treat the next 5-8 years
@stefen_rosner@TheElmonters Big difference between available and right for the team. The Kyrou hype is , I hope, one of the last paroxysms of old isles thinking. He’s not living up to his contract or the trade value it implies. Better to keep assets for a better player than burn them on a hope.
Buyer beware. Claims of 99% accuracy in AI tools, without a clear sense of what that actually means, is a sign it's too good to be true.
You need to understand exactly where that accuracy metric comes from, how it was calculated & the business context.
