“We made a virtual C-suite. It serves small business owners by creating a suite of agents to help them manage cash flow, investments and more. Standardizing on Lakebase has been critical.”
Fed Cohen Freue, EVP of AI & Data Operations at Mastercard, on how a unified infrastructure has helped accelerate solutions.
“We are uncompromising in our approach to how to manage and govern our AI and data. Lakabase built that foundation from the start.”
What point is this supposed to make? Yes, let's give up on quality and craft because people will never look at the back of the dresser or the inside of the computer.
This company was founded by Steve Jobs ffs 😂
They got to my whole macOS wishlist with Golden Gate:

Russ absolutely hits the Canton bar of "can't tell the story of the NFL without him". Part of the early mobile QB revolution. Super Bowl trophy and legendary comeback against the Packers in the following NFC champ. Generational moon ball. Clutch as it gets.

Shoutout to @jasonfried and @dhh & everyone at @basecamp The upgrade to Basecamp 5 dropped a super cool function we lean into. Our office admin emailed BC support, and within hours, that function is back. Hours. It's the little things. And these guys have lots of them. Thank you.
.@tobi says most companies think about recruiting backwards:
“My job is to make a company worthy for the best and brightest to work for.
This is the part everyone skips.
Everyone is like “We need a better recruiting team.”
When you just need to be worthy of the kind of talent you would like to have.
Talent eventually takes care of itself.
There are not that many good companies to work for.
There are not many companies that deserve the attention of people who are the most capable people, because those people have the option to start their own companies.”
The typical American worker only needs to work about 15 minutes to afford almost a day’s worth of calories—capitalism does an extraordinary job of making it easy for people to meet their basic needs.
I’m a huge fan of High Agency. But 2 things I now understand about it:
1) Not everyone can develop High Agency—and High Agency people will find it hard to accept this
2) It has major professional upsides, but also creates chronic anxiety in life situations you can’t control
Thanks for all the input, what we'll do going forward for Codex updates
- Tue: Quality and polish
- Thu: Big launches (starting this Thu)
- Fri: Fun stuff, little extra
Not that anyone at YouTube is checking but that "every video restarts 2 times" bug is back on AppleTV 😑
Actually another old "app opens to play the same video from the past" bug is back as well. Weird.
