I have a small solar system with a 100Ah battery.
My neighbours usually flock to my apartment whenever there's no electricity, so I decided to install a wall socket outside my room for them to use.
Later, I noticed that they were plugging in several power banks and even blenders, which drained my battery very quickly.
To avoid further damage, I removed the wall socket.
Yesterday evening, they came to charge their devices again and couldn't find it.
One of them looked through my window and said, "Bro, you're very stingy. Are you paying for the sun?"
I write better code than almost anyone on my team, and I'm starting to think that's the reason no one knows my name.
I'm not the one who narrates every commit in the group chat. I'm not the one who turns a two hour bug fix into a whole story at standup. I'm definitely not the one who remembers to loop in the director "just to keep them posted."
I just fix the thing and move on to the next thing.
The guy who got the lead role last month ships about half of what I do, but he sends a recap email after every sprint and somehow leadership thinks of him first for everything. I don't even dislike him, he's a genuinely nice guy who just understands something I never bothered to learn.
My manager has told me directly I'm the most reliable engineer on the team. Zero missed deadlines, zero escalations, zero drama. And still, when it's time to pick who leads the next project, I'm somehow not in the room where that gets decided.
I don't know how to fix this without turning into someone who talks more than they build.
Has anyone actually cracked this, or is being good at the work just never going to be enough by itself?
This Reminds me of the time I walked in on my man cheating. I cried to my male friend, and the only question he asked was, “Why didn’t your bf lock the door?”
A man just blocked me after he said something stupid and I replied:
“Don’t make me sleep with your father and give him a son he’ll actually be proud of.”
Did I go too far? 😭😭
What do you do when your father that is over 80 years is still having children with a small girl ?
He is even boasting about how he is taking care of the girl and her peers are envying her.
Make God no let us get parents wey go embarrass us 🙏.
I built my ex-business partner's website and he added me as the domain owner "for tax reasons," now he's cutting me out and wants the domain transferred back
Location: Colorado
Long story short, I did freelance web development for a guy starting a small e-commerce brand. About 8 months in he brought me on as an informal partner, no contract, just a handshake deal and a promise of future equity. He asked me to register the domain and hosting under my name and email so he could write it off under my LLC instead of his.
Last week he told me he's "restructuring" and going a different direction, meaning without me. He's asking me to transfer the domain and hosting login over immediately. Problem is, my name is on the registrar account, my card is on file for renewal, and there was never anything in writing about equity or ownership splitting.
I looked into it a bit and it seems like domain registrars only recognize the account holder, not verbal agreements.
Do I actually have to hand this over, or does being the registered owner mean something here?
David was anointed king while Saul was still sitting on the throne.
Years passed, and David had opportunities to kill Saul and take the throne by force.
But he refused.
He waited through caves, betrayal, rejection and uncertainty.
Then Saul eventually died, and David became king.
The twist? The promise was real, but the timing was not David's to control.
Sometimes the hardest part of faith isn't believing that God will do it; it's waiting without forcing it.
Wife: My husband won $1.2 million while we were married.
Judge: And what are you asking for?
Wife: 50%
Judge: Why?
Wife: Because we were married when he won it.
Husband: She didn’t win anything.
Wife: I was your wife.
Husband: And I bought the ticket.
Judge: How much did the ticket cost?
Husband: Twenty dollars.
Judge: Whose money?
Husband: Mine.
Judge: From your paycheck?
Husband: Yes.
The wife shook her head.
Wife: That’s what he keeps saying. Like I was some stranger living in the house.
Judge: Did you contribute to the household expenses?
The way men whose dime you haven’t spent gives orders is so infuriating.
Baby look good when coming out, baby look beautiful, baby look sexy for me. At the expense of my own purse? I never eat your money before but you want me to dress to kill so you can use me to brag.?
Your one naira i haven’t seen before , you didn’t send me clothes nor hairs. But you are giving me order to look good for you, just because we are going out on a date that you can’t spend more than 50k?
Some of them will spend just 50k and ask you to follow him home.
Ewe 🐒.
One evening I was at one bet9ja shop like that charging my phone.
He separated all the money, he hid some inside his underwear, hid some in his wallet and some inside his socks.
He walked inside the shop, and boys there started seeing visions of potential odds for him, he kept playing the visual, and it kept cutting.
The first batch of the money finished, he went and brought out the 2nd batch, and he kept playing, and it kept cutting.
He went and brought out the 3rd batch. Mind you this was happening around 9-10pm.
He continued playing and they ate all the money he came with.
Then he started playing for credit and just that night he incurred a debt of 79,000 naira!
The cashier was a new person at the shop, so he seized the young man’s phone by 10:30 pm and the young man started crying.
He said his wife just delivered he wanted to see if he could raise money for their feeding, in his quest to raise money for their feeding, he lost the one he has, and now incurred a bigger debt.
Someone has sent you more than 5 videos , yet you didn't still like anyone. Is it mine that would be different?
.
When you are ready, you will come for inspection
This afternoon, a woman and her son entered my keke.
As we were going, we passed a shop where they sell bicycles.
The boy saw the bicycles and started disturbing his mother.
“Mummy, buy bicycle for me.”
The woman told him, “If you listen to me and obey me when I tell you to read your book, sit down and stop jumping around, then I will buy the bicycle for you.”
I was just listening.
These days, children are enjoying.
Imagine a mother begging her own child to obey her.
Gone are the days when our parents would just look at you and you would immediately know that you had better behave yourself.
The man sent ₦20,000 to a POS operator and waited for his cash.
The transaction showed successful on his phone, but the POS operator hadn't received any alert.
“Guy, give me my money now. You can see it’s successful.”
The operator checked again. Nothing.
The man started getting angry. “So what do you want me to do? Wait here till tomorrow?”
People around started looking at them.
After about five minutes, the operator’s phone finally beeped.
He checked it and smiled.
“Your money just entered.”
The man looked at his phone again and sighed.
“Na network dey test person patience for this country.”
Have you ever made a transfer and the person says they haven’t received it, even though your phone says successful?
At that point, do you wait patiently or start calling your bank? 😂
A blue tick does NOT mean I have money.
The first day I got mine, someone entered my DM asking for ₦2,000.
I was honestly surprised.
You barely know me, you’ve never interacted with me meaningfully, and suddenly you think I’m your emergency fund?
This is one thing I don’t understand about social media.
People see followers, verification or a good-looking profile and automatically assume the person is financially comfortable.
Meanwhile, some of us know exactly how much we struggle behind the scenes.
If I have money and I want to help you, I will.
But please don’t enter my DM simply because you think I “look like I have it.”
You don’t know what someone is sacrificing to maintain the life you see online.
Social media is not a bank statement.
What exactly are the benefits of using radiocom? Lately I've been seeing users speak highly of it and somehow eager to jump on it too. Also heard the interface is so easy to navigate.
So this lady posted her number that people should wake her up in the night for her to read because she doesn’t want to fail.
The comment section is currently in chaos but the comment that caught my attention was a guy who said she wanted to use their number to put in loan app. 😂😹😹
