@cbgoodman A lot of this has to do w/ the availability of data. Florida has what many consider to be the best state open records law in the country. NY and CA also publish a ton of data. Not the case for Texas, though.

Losses since before the pandemic began are likely greater than this chart showing changes since 2019. Census uses March as the reference month, so March 2020 data (not shown) likely reflect some temporary cuts. (2/2)
