This assumes the best NFL players are all measurables which completely misses the point and gets to a major issue with the defense of the failures of American soccer.

Fact - if American soccer had better athletes playing soccer throughout their youth, it would be better

Fact - the structure of youth sports prices athletes out of sports, inclusive of soccer

Fact - families with limited economic means prioritize sports with maximum economic potential in America - football, basketball, baseball

Fact - until America makes soccer more accessible and focuses on skill development for better athletes, it won't compete
