I am so bullish on the real world.
Group events. Cookouts. Sports. Parties. Animals. Music festivals. Phoneless dinners. Co-living centers. Healing centers. Retreat centers. Beautiful views. Group adventures.
These things light me up. Tech, ai, and materialism continue to disguest me more every day.
The pendulum has swung too far. A small group of soulless nerds will continue to obsess over ai, automation, effiency, and the intellect. But those of us connected to our hearts and spirits are becoming disgusted by it. We want real, and we want human.
Expect a huge countersurge of irl businesses and events in the next few years.
@levelsio Over here hoping to get a piece of the pie :D. About to start some marketing, if anything hits you please just let them know I called my shot 🏀 if it looks cool
I keep realizing things flip so fast in AI you really can't predict who will win or lose
Claude Code was leading for every dev, Anthropic were the good guys, OpenAI were becoming the bad guys buying up all the RAM
I even switched from ChatGPT considering how ugly I felt the Times New Roman style serif font was
Then OpenClaw shows up, becomes the most popular project since the new AI wave and instead of celebrating it, Anthropic decides to DMCA @steipete, this annoys him and he starts (or continues?) to promote OpenAI's Codex instead of Claude Code
Then @sama and @finkd try to buy him and he goes with OpenAI and that's it and now OpenAI owns the narrative again
@samuelcolvin@claudeai I got you. Give me the weekend and I will pass over some cool Ghostty stuff. I have been dabbling with notifications and a few other concepts. Not sure if I can pass to the phone by then but I will roadmap it and would love to get any feedback or ideas
@leerob Why should I use Cursor instead of CC? Is Cursor technically a reseller? Does the fact that Anthropic owns both the model and the harness give them a competitive advantage? How can you compete? Why not just switch back to vs code for IDE to take advantage of less bloat?
