@MollyJongFast Republicans were certain to acquit from the get go because Trump threatened he would primary any who found him guilty.
So it's obvious Trump didn't need to spend much on hiring a defense team.
When you pay peanuts.... what do you get......... ??
(Answers on a postcard please).
@abbydphillip His responses are full of histrionics. Leaning forwards, tutting and throwing his head back in incredulity.
He 'acts' his way back to his desk, on to which he 'angrily' throws the piece of paper he's been carrying and then slumps to his seat.
FUCKING PATHETIC.
@Acosta Van Der Veen is making himself look stupid.
He doesn't want to answer any questions, he just wants to blame everyone else or claim the questions are irrelevant.
Any minute now, he will respond and tell someone "that's a nasty question"!!
@Acosta That's a ridiculous argument. Trump knew Pence was in the capitol building. Trump knew the capitol building was under siege. Trump watched it all on TV. Trump knew everyone was in danger.
@kaitlancollins One of the big questions I hope will be answered.
With hundreds of thousands of people descending on DC and intelligence suggesting trouble was likely, why were there so few law enforcement officers on duty at the Capitol building or on standby?
Was this Trump's doing too?
@SenatorDurbin@SenatorDurbin Mr Durbin. I live in the UK but I have close family in the US.
I want to say how much I agree with your comments on CNN a few moments ago.
We absolutely owe it to future generations to document the detail of Trump's involvement in what happened on January 6th.
