A thing I’ll always love about baseball, check out the ump towards the end of the video just making up a random mess on home plate he has to “clean” to let the fans/ Sanchez enjoy the moment. Always appreciated stuff like that a lot.
How about hitting this shot to send your team to the Final Four and being the second most accomplished athlete in your family
New England Patriots QB, Drake Maye, has an older brother that hit one of the biggest shots in UNC History
This picture was taken in 2018, when Kentucky played UGA for the SEC East title. I’ll never forget it, grown men with tears in their eyes, all of us singing “My Old Kentucky Home” together. It was one of those moments you didn’t think you’d ever see in your lifetime.
That’s what Mark Stoops did for us. He raised the bar. He made us feel relevant, like we could walk onto any field, any Saturday, and believe we had a real shot. Those moments, that feeling, those 10-win seasons, he changed what it meant to be a Kentucky Football fan. He made us believe anything was possible. And in a twist of irony, those higher expectations are part of what eventually cost him his job.
It wasn’t the fairy-tale ending we hoped for, but Mark Stoops proved something bigger: that greatness is possible here. He shifted the mindset of an entire fanbase. And in the end, he handled his exit with grace, negotiating his buyout to ensure the program he had built had the chance for a fresh start instead of staying stuck in purgatory.
Someday soon, Mark Stoops deserves his flowers. Honestly, he probably deserves a statue outside the stadium. That time will come and I hope it does. As we look forward to what’s next, it’s worth taking a moment to be grateful for the good times, the memories, and the belief he gave us.
Thank you, Coach Stoops. 💙🏈 @UKCoachStoops
I’ve seen summer ball coaches in legit leagues put D1 players on a pedistool over everyone else when selecting teams. Then summer ball rolls around & you can’t tell which player was at a D1 or D2 or NAIA or Juco. The key to it all is development. You don’t stay the same. You get better or worse every single day even in your early 20’s.
Boone could literally say “Volpe’s a better player than he’s been showing and it’s our job to help him be that player.” Instead he spews this nonsense and it’s why so many fans can’t stand him
This douche is Pete Crow Armstrong the guy everyone raving over?
Has anyone tried putting a Rawlings in this tools ear hole yet …. Looks like he needs it.
Padres down 0-3 (8th). Two out. Fernando Tatis Jr gets a bad call, strikes out, argues, gets tossed. Mike Shildt goes fucking nuts. Backs his star. Gets tossed. Fires up his team. They rally, scoring four. The bullpen blanks the Yankees in 8th and 9th. Padres win. GREAT managing!
