🚨BREAKING: On Friday afternoon, an artificial intelligence coding agent powered by Anthropic's Claude Opus 4.6 deleted a company's entire production database in nine seconds.

The company is called PocketOS. It is a software platform that powers car rental businesses. The database contained months of customer bookings, vehicle records, and operational data that small rental car companies relied on to run their businesses.

When the database was deleted, all of the backups were deleted with it.

Three months of customer reservations evaporated.

Example: In their driver testing, the Ping G440 SFT beat the G440 MAX last year. This year, the MAX inexplicably leapfrogged the SFT in the rankings.

Same exact clubs. Entirely different results.

This is such a mess. If you look at the carryover models (the clubs that haven't change since last year's test), there are so many anomalies.

2025: PING G440 SFT scored significantly higher than the PING G440 MAX.
2026: The exact same 440 MAX beat the exact same 440 SFT.

2025: PING G440 LST scored significantly higher than the PING 440 MAX.
2026: The two clubs tied.

2025: Titleist GT4 decisively beat the PING G440 MAX.
2026: The 440 MAX beat the GT4.

Even if you argue that overall scores don't translate year-over-year due to different tester pools or curves, head-to-head relative rankings flipping for the EXACT same clubs is a terrible look for testing credibility. How does Club A beat Club B, until it doesn't? Basically makes these results untrustworthy.
