@ActuallySamuelH @BreezyOregon @howertonjosh @sneako In no way is Jesus promoting self defense in this verse. Jesus is having his disciples grab swords so he would be counted among the transgressors, that’s what v37-38 tell us. In fact later in Lk when Peter uses the sword Jesus rebukes Peter.

Take that “goal tending” that ball was not on its way down and the refs took 2 seconds to look at one of the most important calls of the game. Want more or you good w/ that? ✌️
