@laundryheap shocking customer service, told multiple times order would be delivered and it has been delayed again. Utterly abysmal service for a company that shouts about its 24hr turn around. Can you organise delivery to a new address for order 2287178?
My research for the past 13 years has been looking for evidence for a demand-side emergency exit exists. Basically, our emergency exits from the climate crisis come in 3 flavours:
1. supply-side (decarbonize production)
2. demand-side (reduce consumption)
3. geoengineering

route to #NetZero by @IEA ⚡️
Less than 8% of the #NetZero reduction is due to individual behaviour change.
So do not fall for #FossilFuel 🪨 industry argument that climate change is our fault.
92% of issue is switching to low carbon technology.
An emotional Mary Robinson, Chair of @TheElders and former President of Ireland slams leaders for not being in crisis mode and blames Saudi Arabia for blocking @skynews#COP26 Today will be very important.
Lots of people not professionally involved in climate change may be finding it difficult to understand what is going on at COP26. Many of the people here have no idea either! So I have tried to summarise where we are with three days to go. Hope it may be helpful. 🧵/1
Probably the most significant statement at COP26 so far…Queen Elisabeth called on leaders to “rise above the politics of the moment and achieve true statemanship”. Nothing less is urgently required at this point of Planetary Emergency
FULL SPEECH: "1.5°C is what we need to survive, 2°C, is a death sentence... We do not want that dreaded death sentence, and we've come here today to say, try harder, try harder."

Sustainability NGO @WRAP_UK 's campaign, @clearonplastics, cuts the confusion on plastics and sustainability with clear evidence-based information to help consumers unpack nuances to make informed choices. Read about recycled material in their FAQ section: https://t.co/u3Xb14zjyt
With the publication yesterday of the @IPCC_CH#ClimateReport we're reminded of the huge challenge and urgent need for action when it comes to the climate crisis and the health of our planet. By challenging the status quo, our industries can achieve better https://t.co/MDEOIwA10x
It is a statement of fact, we cannot be any more certain; it is unequivocal and indisputable that humans are warming the planet.

Pretty impossible to ignore.
We've pushed and continue to push our planet too far, and these are the examples from across globe at "only" 1 degree of warming.

Regardless of whether the wine is bottled and exported, or exported in bulk and bottled at destination, the glass bottle is the single biggest carbon emissions source. As in both cases the emissions associated with the production of glass still occur.
Thanks to @ProtocolPorto for a brilliant webinar last Friday 2nd July, discussing the hugely important topic of "Mitigating Climate Change throughout the wine value chain".
Importantly, Kieran Hirlam from the @The_AWRI presented the carbon footprint of the wine industry. (1/2)
Our next Climate Talk (July 2, 9:30 GMT+1), is an initiative by Dr. Richard Smart. With Kieran Hirlam (@The_AWRI), Heena Panchasara (Central Queensland University), Richard Halstead (@WineIntell) and Tiago Alves de Sousa (Alves De Sousa Wines). Register: https://t.co/oZqeWsAtwX
Devastating to see. In a area that had never recorded a temperature above 45 degree. After 3 days of record temperatures, including 49.5 degrees, the town of Lytton has been wiped out by wildfires.
The climate crisis is here, it cannot be ignored.
