@JonGarc1a @Super_GGuerrero @PPSConnect Thanks for all of your great work over the last several years, Jonathan! You've done so much to support PPS families and school communities. We will miss you and @Super_GGuerrero
We all value the @Brewers and want the team to continue playing in Wisconsin long term.
As we think long term, having a sea of parking and no development around American Family Field is a wasted opportunity and does not serve Milwaukee’s future well.
Fellow former charter commissioner Melanie Billings-Yun and I wrote an @Oregonian Op Ed describing the attack on democracy we saw last week on Portland's charter reform ⤵️

@RevantOptics CEO Jason Bolt: "Funding and expanding Portland Street Response is one of the ways we can work towards prioritizing care for our most vulnerable and working together as a community to help them," said about the petition.
Opinion: Why is Portland City Council trying to sabotage charter reform? Mercury editor @WmSteveHumphrey on the council's blatant attempts to hijack reform and who they're *really* working for.

RINGING THE ALARM
City Commissioners who were against the changes to our city that voters overwhelmingly supported are trying to propose drastic changes! Truly appalled at their audacity.

We need to talk a lot more about why fire departments, which consistently fight safe streets and defend abundant parking, is a leading proponent of traffic violence.
I thought fire departments were here to save us but I don’t think it’s supposed to be *from them.*
One of the most surreal videos of the entire resistance to anti-trans laws this year.
Members of the gallery get arrested while shouting "trans lives matter" as Rep. Stevenson delivers a scathing rebuke on the House Floor.
"Somebody will have to atone!"
Whatever you are doing right now, please stop and tune into the PPS board policy committee's discussion on parent-led fundraising. I absolutely know that there are people in this city whose minds are exploding right now. Story to come! https://t.co/3kF1ixmlSp
I regularly see vehicles driving 30 - 40mph past my house at NE 28th and Holman, right over the speed bump. Many also don't stop at the stop sign, so there's that.
If we had more diverters on greenways / bike routes, then maybe we wouldn't need speed bumps with confusing "bike cuts"?
Also, so many vehicles today are large SUVs or trucks with tons of suspension and they just roll over speed bumps like they aren't there. @PBOTinfo
The City of Portland has considered making "bike-friendly" speed bumps standard.
But with the launch of a survey that asks if they're even worth the trouble, it appears they are having second thoughts...

It's really unbelievable that Oregon has a (newly-appointed, Democratic!) transportation commissioner who doesn't believe people will ever choose to travel in any way other than driving cars. This should be disqualifying for an OTC commissioner, but here we are.
State transportation commissioner 'skeptical' ODOT can woo people out of cars

Portland Street Response no longer allowed to hand out tents following order from Commissioner Rene Gonzalez.
Homelessness experts: "Taking away tents will not address the reason why people start fires, which is to stay warm or to cook food."
