Sized into @tatsumeeko today. Both my first ever Solana NFT and first ever Solana game.

Floor had crashed down by about 70% over the past month and Solana NFT pfp / shitcoin hype has NOT extended to any of the web3 gaming efforts, especially this one.

I won't be going ham into Solana ecosystem as it's still very early for gaming. No doubt some good stuff will come down as the eco matures, but put my bet on this one.

Tatsumeeko is creating a web3 lifesim RPG on mobile and discord. Social RPGs are big, especially when you through in web3 incentives, add resource farming (see @pixels_online), and some ability to earn a token in game, wrapped into a social RPG.

I agree with this and I think the game is poised to attract a lot of the web3 gamefi token narrative over Q1 once the governance $MKLN token drop comes out.

The game has a serious set of VC backers with the likes of Binance Labs, Animoca Brands, Delphi Digital, BitKraft, and more

The original Discord-only game Tatsugotchi have a WILD amount users on their discord channel (like dozens of millions of users) and if the team get the new mobile game out, some pretty crazy DAU could be pulled from their existing eco into their web3 game.

Ofc, if the faming / token incentives are good, then all those thirsty Solana degens are going to learn the power of gamefi token farming for real here if this kicks off. And the nft asset and token could do something crazy.

We will see, but I fee very good about this bet as my Solana web3 gaming exposure.

The risk here is that the team, who have a good amount of web2 experience, don't understand the web3 dynamics. This can be solved though if they talk to the right people and have a good understanding of tokenomics and the degens who will be their first real users. Optimistic though they get this right.

While the floor prices (now) are not bottom of the barrel cheap, I believe this game being on Solana has been widely overlooked by most of the web3 investors.

Given the strong strong backers and the team's previous history of successfull game dev, this is surprising. And hence, perhaps an opportunity to back very early what could be the breakout web3 game on Solana...
