Republicans want to raise the age of voting to 21 because 18-21yos voted in droves in the Midterms. This is the same Republican Party that believes that an 18yo is mature enough to purchase an AR15 and a 10yo is old enough to be a mom.

@notcapnamerica Make attempts to get to know the kid to see what causes the behaviors. Most kids I’ve known who were “bad influences” were dealing with things at home.

And talk openly and without judgment with my own kid. Kids need a soft place to land.

@meganNwalsh @notcapnamerica Seems like since Mel Carnahan died so many years ago, we lost our anchor and just keep drifting redder and redder. But we do have some state-level races to be excited about, so maybe there’s more hope than I currently feel.
